Summer is knocking on the door – Get ready to take care of your Skin

Don’t you think there is an insufficiency of publications covering the topic of summer skin care? To make sure you don’t become a victim of heat and hyper-pigmentation, do you know what adjustments you should be making in your skin care routine? There are so many things that you must know in order to take proper care of your skin all through summer.

Don’t forget to wear quality sunscreen. Summer months mean, scorching sunlight. You should always wear a proper Sunscreen as hanging out in summer makes us more prone to freckles and hyper-pigmentation. Most of the people worry about the sun spots that start appearing on their skin as soon as they get in their 30s. If you want to keep your skin safe from the deteriorating effects of Ultraviolet-A and Ultraviolet-B present in sunlight, you should apply a sunscreen of SPF 20 or higher on your skin on a regular basis. Apply a suitable sun screen or moisturizing cream with SPF, after washing your skin with water and drying it for a while. You can then wear make up if you want. If you are going to stay for the whole day under the sun, it is necessary that you apply sunscreen after every 2 to 3 hours. Time to reapply sunscreen varies person to person – depending on how much the person is sweating.

It is recommended that you combat oil with oil! Some people buy sun screen wipes for that purpose but oil cleansing method is way better to moisturize your skin without overdoing it. These types of cleansers are less messy and lightweight. Olive oil is mostly recommended to the people having dry skin. However, people having oily skin can benefit their skin with grape seed oil. Let your skin soak for a few minutes after applying oil on it with gentle hands. Then, place hot towel on your skin for some time... this way oil penetrates the epidermis and dissolves the other oil present on your skin. And then, rub off the oil present on your skin. You may need to moisturize your skin after this if it gets dry; however, most won’t need this as the weather is warm. This method effectively cleans your skin and moisturizes it without making your skin heavy with the use of a lotion or cream. This method, however, is not recommended for removing makeups.

Moisture is no good... you have got to be watchful. In summer time, even the people having dry skin don’t complain much about its dryness. If you have dry skin, you just need to apply some light weight oil in areas where you feel there is a need. Exposure to sunlight can cause dry patches on your skin and you can feel more oil on your skin. It is not recommended that you put oil on your skin multiple times during day time. Rather, you should only use it where you feel it’s dry. One more thing that is worth knowing here is you must use the same type of oil for cleansing every time.
